Can Pop up cameras be the next big thing-TECHARENA

Pop up cameras got attention recently with the new Oppo Find X that has a great pop up camera system. Not only that, it too does a good thing for the recent trend of Full Vision displays. And that is providing an actual one, which defines the definition of a Full Vision displays that have been employed on smartphone. But Find X nails it with an incredible body design too (bit better than the NEX S) with no camera body. Only Glass, metal and the display is what you see. Well, that may seem a good choice for the next generation of phones, do you think the pop up camera system is actually a good thing for flagships? Lets talk about that.
The Oppo NEX S has a mini pop up front camera
Pop up cameras are different in the sense, that they actually pop up. No, Dual cameras dont get double from a single one. That would be absurd. The camera modules in the pop up mechanism still uses the same peripherals, lens, optics, sensors. DUAL setup in these actually come with an extra camera to help the main one (Depth sense or wide angled) or they have their own purpose (Monochrome, telephoto, big sensor). The purpose of the camera remains pretty much the same, only they just come out at the time when they are needed. That makes a difference, in looks. Really.

"Who dosent like a little pop up surprise especially in a smartphone"

Now comes the main question, Are pop up cameras worth? Can they be the next big thing in smartphone camera technology? Actually YES. Pop up cameras can be the next big thing in the growing camera technology. Technically, the camera architecture will remain the same(it most of the time does), since most flagships have the common trend of bigger sensors and wider lens. That implies, the photo output will be good, incredible when flagships are concerned. Also it can be made better by using better sensors or optics and Algorithms with AI integration too.  Simple. Apart from that, a simple pop up camera will add premium to the phone.

The Oppo Find X has separate camera pop up module system
Secondly, AI is now available to most high grade chipsets. It can be used simply for the better functionality of the pop up mechanism. Future advancements in hardware integrated AI can be made more intelligent to identify hand gestures/signs for launching the camera. Well that will be made available (in the near future). Keeping aside the technological advantages, there are few simple things that gets better. As seen in the Oppo Find X, the body looks much better and bit different. It gives a camera less look, just a premium full body experience. This may please some users who do want such a feature in their phone. Also, an actual high resolution FULL VISION display would do wonder for flagship users since putting the camera in the pop up, eliminates almost everything from the front of the phone. Their's onscreen fingerprint available too.

Pop up systems can be imagined more on phones with less cons. And it could be used more fluently than just on cameras, providing chances to be more useful with improved mechanisms and efficient operation. These are fast enough so nothing to worry about that. Provided that pop up systems are better enough with good innovations now, they hope to bring more functionality in the near future with newer technoloical advancements.

TECHARENA - Is the new Moto G6 Play a good buy?

The 6th gen Moto G smartphones are actually upto something. And that can be seen in their hardware upgrades, which is nothing like the previous generation Moto smartphones. Like the other G6 series phones, the G6 play also sports some good hardware and a special upgrade for the camera that most budget phones miss out (and that's where you get disappointment on buying one).         The Moto G6 play combines sufficient performance with a capable camera for a good price, just like the E5 plus. Else for the previous G4 play, which was quite a good phone, that did not meet the actual budget expectations, though that was 2 years ago. But this time, the G6 play did. It comes with a Snapdragon 430 (snapdragon 425 for USA variant) Chipset for providing all the power needed, an improved 13MP camera and a big 4000mAh battery with fast charging. Well specifications seem good, but is it a good buy? or just a was...
