TECHARENA - What makes the Galaxy J7 duo a simple yet perfect phone?

Samsung has been always the best smartphone maker whether its budget or flagship (midrangers are bit inferior though). And its best budget smatphones  series till date is the J series. Price to performance ratio was good, but until now other brands has better options. Well, Samsung released the Galaxy J7 duo that packs some pretty much incredible goods, along with few old age stuff.

The J7 duo comes with the new Exynos 7885 octacore processor along with 4GB of RAM, a dual 13MP+5MP camera setup and a 3000mAh battery. The specs seem fine for the price, but what are old age stuff that makes it a different phone? Why the j7 duo seems like a perfectly good phone? Read below to find out.

What makes the Galaxy J7 duo a simple yet perfect phone?

The J7 duo doesn't come with the trendy Full Body display and that looks different but it does have that bezel less design that makes it look cool though. It comes in a well blended plastic body along with the usual rounded sides and curves that makes it feel comfortable when holding in the hand. And it will not feel cheap, as galaxy phones have incredible bodies with good grip. The body front design looks no futuristic but there's so much and the peripherals are placed where they should be.
The J7 duo is one of the perfect smartphones that has been released yet
The J7 duo comes with the usual Super AMOLED display on 5.5inch 720p screen. Since that ain't no Full body display, you get a smaller but better quality screen. Since AMOLED (LED) displays have better colour outputs then traditional IPS LCDs, it provides better contrast ratios, better colours which look amazing. Though no Full Body type, the J7 duo can offer better quality visuals and richer content when watching high quality videos, movies, playing games and when using the camera.

The J7 duo is pure simplicity

When it comes to providing power, Galaxy phones have their usual own Exynos series chipsets. And J7 duo is no either different as it shows off a new Exynos 7885 chip that is now better. Even better than the 7880 that was powerful yet very much power efficient(not like usual 14nm chips). The Exynos 7885 has an uncommon core arrangement of six 1.6Ghz Cortex-A53 cores and two 2.2Ghz Cortex-A73 cores. Now that defines the proper power along with proper battery efficiency. Why? the Six power efficient cores will be used for low level tasks, light gaming, videos while the remaining two highly powerful A73 cores will be aid the other six when some serious workload is needed. The two A73s are much much powerful and can offer a great deal of performance. The Mali-G71MP2 can run games at high graphics  with ease along with the 720p screen. There's only 4GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage. Although it has a dedicated SD card slot upto 256GB support which helps a lot that just hybrid slots. Other features of the 7885 includes support upto quad image sensors including facial recognition, HF recording, high LTE speeds upto 600mbps and efficient power handling systems.

The Exynos 7885 provides power with better power efficiency

The J7 duo consists of a DUAL camera setup. It has a 13MP rear camera with a f/2.9 lens and 1/3" sensor along with a 5MP f/1.9 depth sensor that aids the main rear camera for better Bokeh/Macro shots. Galaxy cameras has been good with good sensors and quality images along with fast Phase Detection AutoFocusing systems. And the J7 duo embraces this features too. The 13MP camera can capture enough detailed photos along with accurate colours. If you need a little DSLR like blurs then there is the 5MP depth sensor that will do the job for you. The 5MP aids the main rear camera for a better depth range and the photo comes out with nice blurs with accurate focusing. The  front camera is a usual 8MP with f/1.9 lens along with a LED flash to provide better selfies at tough lights. Video recording comes in 1080p 30fps which is enough for video purposes.

The J7 duo ships with a usual 3000mAh battery pack, and the biggest things is that, its user replaceable. Now this might seem odd as most phones come with either 3600mAh or more. Well it is not. The Exynos 7885 has been designed in such a way so that it uses its battery on the cores that are actually active. Samsung claims that the 7885 has a unique architecture that uses even less power than the 7870 in handling low level tasks. And that is much more great and regarding battery life and performance, exynos chips are actually and always the boss. Also, the J7 duo  comes onboard with Android Oreo that has some nice battery optimization techniques for conserving every ounce of battery. And adding that, the j7 duo will run easily a day and more on normal usage.

          Provided the goods are incredibly chosen, the J7 duo might impress some old age users and new ones due to ;
1. Removable battery
2. Simple designed body
3. AMOLED screen
4. New generation Exynos chipset
5. DUAL camera
6. Better battery backup
7. Dedicated SD card slot.

And YES, the J7 duo defines itself as a perfect phone that samsung has ever provided in the budget segment.

6 INCREDIBLE THINGS IN THE OPPO FIND X

The Oppo Find X recently got released without a camera module on its body. And that is just amazing for a full body display without a camera on the either side, but as a pop up module which sports both the dual rear setup and the front camera. Oppo already had phones that came with impressive camera modules, much of the technology infused. But now that includes improved camera quality too with better sensors and optics. Quite an uncommon thing, but Oppo dosent stand that much in the flagship ground as it is much more concentrated in the midrange and budget segment.  But with the Find X, it did secure a place. It will be determined in the future whether this will be temporary or permanent. The Oppo Find X is more of the premium flagship        The Oppo Find X comes with incredible features, and also with a flagship level price that wont dissapoint flagship users. But it does have a possibility to stand against the premium flagship phones and also emerge out as a better one

TECHARENA - Is the new Moto G6 Play a good buy?

The 6th gen Moto G smartphones are actually upto something. And that can be seen in their hardware upgrades, which is nothing like the previous generation Moto smartphones. Like the other G6 series phones, the G6 play also sports some good hardware and a special upgrade for the camera that most budget phones miss out (and that's where you get disappointment on buying one).         The Moto G6 play combines sufficient performance with a capable camera for a good price, just like the E5 plus. Else for the previous G4 play, which was quite a good phone, that did not meet the actual budget expectations, though that was 2 years ago. But this time, the G6 play did. It comes with a Snapdragon 430 (snapdragon 425 for USA variant) Chipset for providing all the power needed, an improved 13MP camera and a big 4000mAh battery with fast charging. Well specifications seem good, but is it a good buy? or just a waste of money? Read below Is the new Moto G6 Play a good buy???
